The Iranian news agency Fars referred to the strike on gas facilities in the south of the country, reporting that explosions were heard from the refinery in Asaluyeh in the south of the country and that several tanks and gas facility areas were damaged. It was also reported that "various stages of the refinery were damaged. Workers were evacuated to safe places and rescue and firefighting forces are trying to extinguish the fire."
