The newspaper's editors clarified that it was an 'editing error' and that the original text 'mistakenly implied that Israelis' experience as victims of terror is a matter of perception.' Israeli Embassy spokesperson in Washington Tal Naim wrote to the newspaper: 'What you published is simply an unmasked version of the attitude you have expressed toward the State of Israel over the past three years.'
