National Security Council warns: Avoid returning to Israel via Jordan or Sinai

|
The National Security Council addressed attempts to return to the country through Jordan and Sinai, stating: "Due to the closure of Ben Gurion Airport until further notice, private initiatives are emerging to reach Israel via land routes by landing at airports in Sinai/Jordan and then traveling to Israel. We want to emphasize that Sinai and Jordan are under level 4 travel warnings - reflecting a high threat level, and we recommend avoiding travel to these areas. These warnings are especially valid during this period of tension." It was further reported that "for Israelis staying abroad and waiting to return to the country, we recommend waiting for updates on this matter from the Ministry of Transportation."
