Defense Minister Israel Katz said that "the IDF will not move from the security zone as long as Hezbollah is not disarmed of its weapons throughout Lebanon and the threat to northern residents is removed. The fate of Dahieh in Beirut will be the same as that of Avivim, Misgav Am and Kiryat Shmona. Any firing or launching of drones and UAVs toward Israeli cities, moshavs or kibbutzim will be met with a powerful response toward the Dahieh district in Beirut. If Hezbollah joins an Iranian attack on Israel, it will be dealt a severe blow and the IDF is prepared to carry out a maneuver toward additional territories in the Nabatieh and Litani areas."
