Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Liberman said at Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth's 'People of the State' conference that "in 2030, 52-53% of first graders will be either ultra-Orthodox or Arabs. This is an hourglass running out. At this rate, in 2048 you'll have an ultra-Orthodox prime minister here. The state will collapse before then, it's impossible to carry this on our backs." According to him, "We will legislate a law that determines who we fund – only state education. We will break all the tools over this." He said, "We are for the public and against the establishment. The closer you get to the ultra-Orthodox establishment, the further you get from God. They invented a new religion that has nothing to do with Jews. We want ultra-Orthodox children to receive proper education and for this not to be the poorest sector in the country."
