Police arrested in the early morning hours a senior member of the Hariri crime organization, known as 'the arbitrator' of the underworld, and 11 other members of the organization on suspicion of extortion through threats amounting to millions of shekels, planting explosives and maintaining contact with terror organizations. Police stated that 'within the framework of this case, which has been conducted in recent months under the leadership of the Judea and Samaria District Police, it emerged that members of the organization and its senior officials extorted residents of the Palestinian territories in the Samaria area through threats, demanded payments from the victims amounting to millions of shekels and allegedly used explosives, thereby instilling terror in their lives.'
