The prosecution filed an indictment with the Jerusalem District Court against Salah Othman (48), a resident of A-Tur in Jerusalem, for aggravated murder of Fatma Al-Rajabi approximately three weeks ago. According to the indictment, Othman was a habitual gambler who fell into financial debt. The deceased, whom he knew through his work as a technician, lent him a cumulative amount of approximately 90,000 shekels. Approximately three weeks ago, Othman met with the deceased and drove her toward his home after telling her he would bring her the money from there. Othman took a hammer from the trunk and struck her forcefully on the head. As a result of his actions, the deceased died shortly thereafter. After the murder, he placed her body in a barrel he had purchased in advance and poured sealant over it.
