The IDF Spokesperson updated that as part of a multi-arena military situational assessment ahead of the elections, a leave freeze has been decided for IDF units starting next Thursday and in accordance with the ongoing situational assessment. In parallel, it was also decided to increase the presence of senior commanders in operations rooms, headquarters and units to ensure operational readiness and capability; reinforce Central Command with forces from the Paratroopers Brigade headquarters and additional forces that will be allocated to it to strengthen deployment in the area and increase presence on the ground; allocate additional forces to the other sectors according to operational needs – in the air, at sea and on land.
