Contrary to a Supreme Court ruling that prohibited transferring real-time voting data from polling stations, Degel HaTorah – the Lithuanian faction of United Torah Judaism – instructed its polling committee members to report voting percentages throughout the day. In Agudat Yisrael, the Hasidic faction of the party, voters were asked to call a telephone hotline after leaving the polling station to obtain an updated picture of the situation. This measure may be inaccurate, as people can report even if they did not vote. Outside polling stations in ultra-Orthodox areas, activist stations were set up to record who arrived.
