Education Minister Yoav Kisch presented local government leaders with the Education Ministry's plan for a gradual and differential reopening of schools and kindergartens starting Wednesday. The minister determined that the education system will open in areas designated by the Home Front Command as 'yellow,' meaning the risk of missile fire is defined as relatively low. However, the decision to open will remain with each local authority. The plan will be implemented in places where it is possible in terms of threats and protection, and subject to IDF guidelines. Local authorities will be given the choice of when and how to operate special education institutions, to which transportation will be carried out by parents. Despite the return plan, parents are not obligated to send their children to educational frameworks and absences will not be recorded.
