Clalit has opened a new fortified hospital in Rishon Lezion — an emergency measure designed to address one of the most severe problems exposed by the war: the critical shortage of protective shelters in rehabilitation and geriatric facilities across the country. The new hospital, named 'Magen HaArai,' opened its doors today to receive 216 patients transferred from insufficiently protected rehabilitation and geriatric facilities. Many of the patients are bedridden or have mobility difficulties and cannot reach a protected space during an alert. Dozens of ambulances will transport them from various cities across the country — even during missile fire.
