Police arrested a suspect in Migdal HaEmek last week for stealing a service dog from a gas station in Latrun. Police said, "Last Thursday, Border Police fighters at the Mateh Yehuda station were notified of the dog's theft from its owner. Using technological means and intelligence operations, the forces were able to track down the suspect, who was arrested later that day with the dog in his possession." The dog was subsequently returned to its owner, Yair, a Samaria resident, who said: "I am recognized as an Oct. 7 victim, I helped with rescue efforts in the first days of hell. The dog has been with me for a few months, she's a puppy. She makes me happy, helps me get through crises. She is a very good friend. She has a therapy dog collar and despite that, they took her."
