Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived today at the Gaza Division area and said: "I came to approve the IDF plans to take control of Gaza City and defeat Hamas. At the same time, I directed to begin immediate negotiations on the release of all our hostages and ending the war under conditions acceptable to Israel." Netanyahu added: "We are at the decisive stage. These two things - defeating Hamas and releasing all our hostages - go hand in hand."
