The English-language book by captivity survivor Eli Sharabi, Hostage, has won the title of 'Jewish Book of the Year' at the 75th annual National Jewish Book Awards in the United States for 2026. This was announced by Sela Meir Publishing House. Sharabi will receive the award at a ceremony to be held in New York at the end of March and said that "this is a great honor for me. This recognition touches me not only on a personal level, but also in memory of my family and in remembrance of all those we have lost. I hope the book will help ensure that what happened will never be forgotten."
