IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir spoke with David Zini and congratulated him on his approval as the head of Shin Bet. According to the IDF spokesperson, Zamir expressed confidence that Zini would bring his personal capabilities, leadership and experience gained as an IDF commander to the Israel Security Agency. Additionally, the Chief of Staff emphasized that cooperation between the IDF and Shin Bet is critical for state security and promised to stand behind him to ensure his success in the role.
