MK Gadi Eisenkot contradicted National Unity party chairman Benny Gantz's claim that he resigned due to conflicting views held by the two, saying that he "is not aware of any ideological gaps" between them. According to him, "The friendship and partnership with Gantz goes back many years. There is no personal issue but rather a substantive disagreement." Eisenkot further stated: "I think I can fill any role in the State of Israel."
