The German basketball team defeated Finland 98:86 in the EuroBasket semifinal. The Finns started the game better and built an 8-point lead during the first quarter, but the Germans took control of the game with a 17:1 run. Finland managed to get back into the game and reduce the gap to just 6 points, after trailing by as much as 18, but Germany pulled away again and secured the victory. Dennis Schröder (26 points) and Franz Wagner (22) led Germany – the reigning world champions – to victory. The Germans will wait in the final for the winner between Greece and Turkey.
