Police are asking the court to distance Maj. Gen. (res.) Yoav (Poli) Mordechai, who is being investigated in the Qatargate affair, from the hostages and missing persons headquarters, as well as from reserve Major General Nitzan Alon, head of the Hostages Administration, former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, and the deputy head of Shin Bet for 30 days. In addition to security offenses of contact with an agent, police attribute to Mordechai economic offenses of preventing reporting, as well as integrity violations, fraud, breach of trust and bribery.
