The IDF has begun a General Staff exercise called "Shield and Strength" in the Golan Heights and valleys region, starting from early morning hours and continuing for the next two days. This was announced by the IDF spokesperson, who noted that the purpose of the exercise is to examine and improve readiness for various scenarios through command post drills. Under the direction of IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, the exercise was launched as a surprise drill to test the readiness of Division 210 for emerging events. The exercise will also practice situation assessment processes and decision-making at all levels, activating alert statuses and managing forces in the war theater. During the exercise, increased troop movements will be noticed in the area, explosion sounds will be heard and aircraft and other aerial devices will be visible in the region. There is no security concern.
