Report: US likely used blackout bomb in Venezuela operation

|
In the operation where the United States captured Venezuela's president, they apparently used a "Blackout Bomb," which the US also employed during the Gulf War. This was reported by the British Daily Mail, citing several military experts. According to the report, BLU-114/B blackout bombs are munitions that disperse into dozens of small containers the size of soda cans when dropped from the air. When the munition is released, it causes short circuits in electrical supply equipment and can effectively darken an entire city. The Daily Mail explained that the use of this bomb is controversial because it can cut off electricity to hospitals and other critical facilities.
