Iranian diplomats have expressed willingness to halt uranium enrichment and transfer part of their stockpiles to a third party, such as Russia. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing diplomats from the U.S., Iran and around the world. According to the report, Iranian officials signaled in talks with regional diplomats that they may propose halting uranium enrichment for up to three years. The American newspaper cautioned that their proposal would not change much, since according to assessments Iran halted uranium enrichment after the U.S. attacked its nuclear facilities, and that at the very least this is a proposal that does not meet American demands.
