Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request to expedite the hearing on a petition to invalidate the Attorney General's legal opinion, which prohibits him from appointing a new Shin Bet chief. In his response, Amit noted that there is another petition regarding the Shin Bet chief appointment through a search committee process, and determined that the hearing on the petitions will take place as scheduled next Tuesday.
