Dozens of Protected Animal Species Seized by Nature and Parks Authority Inspectors

In a joint operation, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and IDF raided a house in the Palestinian village of Beit Sira in Benjamin region, where animals were being illegally held in poor conditions and life-threatening circumstances. The search revealed dozens of protected animal species, including gazelles, hyenas, rare birds and green vervet monkeys. The animals were safely transferred for further examination and treatment. Additionally, two M16 rifles and illegal bird hunting equipment were seized. A father and his two sons were arrested on suspicion of possession of protected natural assets, trafficking, harm and illegal hunting.
