Tel Aviv University: 'We strongly reject Kisch's threats, demonstration taking place off campus'

|
Tel Aviv University stated that it 'strongly rejects' Education Minister Yoav Kisch's threats to withdraw its funding, following what the minister referred to as Nakba Day events approved by the institution's administration. According to the university: "By law, student-initiated demonstrations on Nakba Day at most Israeli universities are protected under freedom of expression and freedom of protest. In Tel Aviv, a demonstration marking Nakba Day is taking place at Antin Square, which is outside the university campus, under police control and approval."
