US: Massachusetts resident sentenced to 26 months in prison for death threats against Jewish community

|
A Boston court in the United States sentenced John Reardon (60), a Massachusetts resident, to 26 months in prison for threatening to murder members of the Jewish community in the state, including children. Reardon threatened to place an explosive device in a Massachusetts synagogue and told community members that "because you support the murder of small innocent children, it's okay to kill your children." He also called the Israeli consulate in Boston 98 times and threatened representatives with a reference to the burning of Jews in Nazi death camps during the Holocaust: "Prepare the ovens."
