Syria has launched a widespread operation against ISIS terror cells in several provinces across the country, expected to last several days. The Syrian Interior Ministry, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Agency, has conducted 61 raids so far and arrested 71 individuals. A spokesperson for the Interior Ministry reported that explosives and weapons were also seized during some of the raids. The extensive operation was launched amid the expected visit of Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa to Washington on Monday, where he will meet with US President Donald Trump.
