The Israeli government issued a statement addressing recent developments, saying: "Last night Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the cabinet to report that Israel has achieved all the objectives of 'Operation Like a Lion.'" The statement further noted that "In the last day, the IDF struck severe blows to regime targets in the heart of Tehran, eliminated hundreds of Basij operatives and assassinated a senior nuclear scientist. Israel has removed an immediate dual existential threat – both in the nuclear domain and in the ballistic missiles domain. In light of achieving the operation's goals, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel has agreed to the proposal for a bilateral ceasefire."
