Head of the National Unity Party Benny Gantz spoke at the opening of his faction meeting, calling for "small politics not to be an obstacle to major historical moves." According to him, "We will back any move that will bring back our hostages and advance us to a new era in the Middle East." Regarding a possible security agreement with Syria, he said: "We must not retreat from the commanding positions that will allow us to protect the residents of the Golan." Chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu Avigdor Lieberman also spoke at his faction meeting, calling to release "all hostages in one go - even at the price of stopping the war and withdrawing from the Gaza Strip."
