Lebanon's Foreign Ministry has appealed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres requesting to renew UNIFIL's mandate for a year. "We confirm Lebanon's commitment to the continued presence of UNIFIL and its cooperation with it and demand Israel's withdrawal from all Lebanese territories it occupies and the end of ongoing violations of Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the ministry's statement said.
