Police announced that due to U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance's visit to Israel from tomorrow until Thursday, traffic disruptions are expected in the Jerusalem, Kiryat Gat and Tel Aviv areas. Tomorrow upon Vance's landing, Highway 1 from Ben Gurion Airport to the junction with Highway 6 southbound will be closed to traffic starting at 9:00 AM. Additionally, the Daniel Interchange at the entrance to Highway 6 southbound to Kiryat Gat Interchange will be closed, as well as Highway 35 westbound to the industrial zone entrance. Starting at midday, Highway 35 from the Azcur-Intel junction eastbound and the northbound entrance to Highway 6 from Kiryat Gat Interchange to Daniel Interchange will be closed, along with Highway 1 westbound to Highway 20 northbound up to HaShalom Interchange. Furthermore, HaShalom Interchange will be closed to traffic via Azrieli Junction, Kaplan Street and around the Kirya defense complex. In the afternoon hours, closures are expected on Kaplan Street, Azrieli Junction through HaShalom Interchange and Highway 20 from HaShalom Interchange southbound to Highway 1 eastbound and to Ginot Saharov.
