22 Western nations and three humanitarian organizations issued a statement calling on Israel to allow the "immediate" resumption of humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip. The statement, published by the British Foreign Office and signed by foreign ministers from Canada, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Spain, Sweden, Italy and others, states that Gaza's civilian population "must receive the urgent assistance they need."
