The U.S. Department of Justice filed indictments against a Hamas terrorist from Gaza and U.S. citizens who raised over $1.7 million for the terror organization, according to CBS News. According to the indictment, over $626,000 was raised from American donors under the false claim that it was humanitarian aid for food or winter supplies for Gazan families. The fundraising operation, according to the U.S. prosecution, began in January 2020 and continued even after the October 7 massacre and during the war that followed. The defendants include Salim Al-Zaq, a 45-year-old Gaza resident who is a Hamas operative, Abed and Omar Al-Adhami, two brothers from Louisiana aged 35 and 33, and Raad Youssef, 56, from Florida. The U.S. residents among the defendants have been arrested and are being held by authorities.
