U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the American military has officially left Iraq. Trump wrote on Truth Social: "Today, I am pleased to announce that the last American forces are leaving Iraq! It's been a long time, and very bad decisions were made that got us into this mess in the first place, but soon, it will be history. This is a great day for America, and more importantly – we are leaving with Iraq having a wonderful new Prime Minister, Ali al-Zaidi, a person I supported from the beginning and in whom I placed full confidence."
