The Be'er Sheva District Court sentenced Karin Ivgi, 48, from Arad, to nine years in prison after she pleaded guilty to causing the death of a pedestrian while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs in the city. Additionally, Ivgi's driver's license was revoked, and she must pay compensation to the victims. In the sentencing, Judge Tal Lehiani noted that Ivgi's record includes multiple safety violations including speeding, running red lights, disobeying traffic signs, using a phone while driving and more.
