Waves about 1.2 meters in height were measured on Hawaii's shores, following the tsunami warning issued in the state after a powerful earthquake struck eastern Russia. This was reported by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, in addition to a report from the American Tsunami Warning Center. Earlier, Hawaii reported that the sea had begun to recede.
