Heib Muayad wins Tuba-Zangariyye local council elections with about 70% majority

Candidate Heib Muayad won the elections for the head of the Tuba-Zangariyye local council with approximately 70% of the vote. According to the Ministry of Interior data, Muayad received 1,908 votes, while Heib Amer came in second with 572 votes, representing about 21%. Candidate Heib Munir received 249 votes, about 9% of the total. The elections were held after previous council head Hussein Heib was removed from office in May due to an indictment for corruption offenses.
