Indictment: Beit She'an resident tried to murder hitchhiker - and slit her throat

The prosecution submitted an indictment to the Nazareth District Court against a 48-year-old man, a resident of Beit She'an, for attempting to murder a young woman he picked up hitchhiking in the settlement of Beit Yosef at the beginning of the month. According to the indictment, the man drove the victim to her requested destination and left, but returned a few minutes later and slit her throat. She was moderately injured and he fled the scene, but was arrested shortly afterward. He is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault under aggravating circumstances.
