Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez thanked Israel for sending an aid delegation to the country following the severe earthquakes that struck it. "Yesterday we received a very professional and skilled group from Israel, which arrived following contact made through the Jewish community in Venezuela. This expert team began implementing the protocol to open the infrastructure rehabilitation process and assess their condition. These are experts who can determine whether there are people alive in a certain location, or whether there are bodies that need to be extracted, even before any other infrastructure rehabilitation process can begin. I thank them for this. They have already held meetings with the authorities in Venezuela."
