Six agents in the U.S. Secret Service, who were on duty during the assassination attempt on Donald Trump last summer, have been temporarily suspended from their positions following the incident. The agency reported this without specifying the names of the agents or the exact basis for the suspensions, which range from 10 to 42 days. Trump was injured in the ear by gunfire during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024, while speaking on stage. Secret Service Director Sean Corn said in a statement that "the agency has taken many steps to ensure that such an incident cannot happen again in the future."
