Lapid said he wants to understand "whether the threats are real, and if so, how the prime minister is preparing this time to ensure the elections are held without disruptions." In response, Netanyahu's office said that "the prime minister instructed his military secretary to update the opposition leader today on recent developments," meaning Netanyahu himself will not meet with Lapid, and added: "Prime Minister Netanyahu holds routine security briefings with Lapid, and the most recent one took place between them two weeks ago, on September 14."
