The Supreme Court heard a petition against the government's decision not to operate emergency flights on Shabbat for Israelis stranded abroad following the war with Iran and demanded that the Ministry of Transportation update by Wednesday what solutions are available for citizens in need of evacuation. Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit stated at the beginning of the hearing that no decision would be made regarding the upcoming Shabbat in any case, but he was not convinced that the state is providing the best response to citizens stranded abroad - and the petition was not dismissed.
