The prosecution informed the Jerusalem District Court that it opposes the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's defense attorneys to meet with him to discuss the judges' decision to expand the number of hearings in his trial to four per week. The prosecution argued that a conversation between Netanyahu and his defense team during the cross-examination phase, when they are prohibited from meeting, has "potentially problematic implications for the legal process." Netanyahu's defense team claimed that they would not be able to continue providing services to Netanyahu if the number of hearing days is expanded, due to constraints and other clients.
