Likud announced the reservation of former Knesset member Eli Goldschmidt on its list for the 26th Knesset. Goldschmidt is a former MK from the Labor Party, who also served as chairman of the Labor faction in the Knesset. The Likud statement read: "After years of living in the Gaza envelope, and following the events of October 7, Goldschmidt announced that he underwent a sobering. He changed his political and security positions and now supports the positions of Netanyahu, Likud and the national camp."
