Fire and Rescue Services reported that firefighters managed to halt the spread of the fire that broke out in Ein Lavan on the outskirts of Jerusalem, and the situation is now under control. Deputy Chief Eli Adri said, "The fire advanced rapidly through dense terrain toward residential areas, but through quick action by firefighters, supported by firefighting aircraft, we managed to contain the flames and prevent injury to people and damage to property. We will continue completion of firefighting operations until full resolution of the incident."
