The legal adviser of the Religious Services Ministry, Galia Klein, has requested to postpone the rabbinate elections in Ramla that were planned for today following ynet's exposure regarding deficiencies discovered in the rabbinical certificate presented by a Shas candidate. In a letter sent to Deputy Attorney General Carmit Yulis, Klein wrote: "Due to the doubts that have arisen in this matter, we will not facilitate the election process unless you instruct us otherwise."
