Additionally, a source involved in the negotiations told Reuters news agency that Washington has given Hamas additional guarantees "in the form of steps that could lead to the end of the war." He added that the Americans are pressing to reach a deal as quickly as possible. However, two Hamas sources told Reuters they are not aware of any new ceasefire proposals for Gaza.
