The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that Egypt is preparing for the transition phase expected after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, including the issue of temporary governance in the Gaza Strip. Egyptian sources told the newspaper that Cairo supports the Palestinian names proposed for temporary management of Gaza during the transition period, despite the Palestinian Authority's refusal to participate in the process and its disruption of it. It was also reported that Cairo is preparing to host meetings between Palestinian entities as part of efforts to "organize the Palestinian house," despite the Palestinian Authority's conditions creating difficulties for their success.
