The Finance Ministry announced the promotion of Deputy Director General Israel Malachi, who will now be appointed as Director General upon the completion of outgoing Director General Ilan Rom's tenure. The announcement stated that Malachi, 49, has led in recent years the rehabilitation processes of the southern border communities and the rehabilitation of the north following the war. He previously served as treasurer of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council and as a member of the board of directors at KKL and member of the finance committee in the organization.
