Fire and Rescue Services reported nine active fire sites in the Jerusalem Hills: in Beit Meir, Shoresh, Neve Ilan, Mesilat Zion, Neve Shalom, Canada Park, Anava and Sha'ar HaGai, where most efforts are concentrated. Evacuated areas include: Neve Shalom, Latrun Monastery, Nachshon, Yad LaShiryon, Beit Meir, Mesilat Zion, and Mevo Horon. Additionally, Routes 1 and 3 are closed. About 163 firefighting teams, 21 ATVs and the Shimshon aircraft are operating in the field. Twelve firefighting aircraft are expected to take off in the morning. The report noted that 12 firefighters were lightly injured.
