Police chief working to replace Jerusalem district commander before Ramadan - and appoint Ben Gvir associate

Police Commissioner, Chief Superintendent Dani Levy, is working to quickly end the tenure of Jerusalem District Commander, Superintendent Amir Arzani, before the start of Ramadan, ynet has learned. According to a senior police official, Levy has been advancing a move in recent days to replace Arzani with the aim of appointing Superintendent Avshalom Peled, an associate of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who also tried to appoint him as police commissioner.
